ISLAMABAD, June 3 (APP): Very hot weather conditions are expected over plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh, while hot and dry weather is likely to prevail over rest of the country in next 24 hours.
Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country, an official of Met office told APP.
Weather remained very hot and dry in most parts of the country in last 24 hours. Maximum temperatures recorded on Saturday were Sibbi 50°C, Dadu, Noorpurthal, Bhakkar, Larkana, Moenjodaro 49°C, Jacobabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Rahim yar khan, D.G. Khan 48°C, Multan, Faisalabad 46°C, Lahore, Peshawar 45°C, Hyderabad 44°C, Islamabad 43°C, Muzaffarabad 41°C, Karachi 40°C, Quetta, Dir 38°C Chitral 37°C, Gilgit 36°C, Skardu 32°C and Murree 31°C.
Mainly very hot and dry conditions are expected in plain areas of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm is expected at a few places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions and Kashmir.
