At least 5 dead in remote controlled bomb attack in Bajur Agency

BAJAUR: At least five people dead including a political agent in a remote controlled bomb attack in Bajaur agency.

Officials of the political administration said the bomb exploded on the roadside in Tangi area of Loi Mamond tehsil of the tribal agency.

The deceased include political tehsildar Fawad Ali while a Levies official was also injured in the attack, said officials.

Security forces cordoned off the area after the incident and launched a search operation.

Bajaur Agency, which borders Afghanistan’s Kunar province, has seen intense fighting between militants and security forces in the past.

Country should not be made a spectacle for the enemy

 

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Interior Minister Choudhry Nisar Ali Khan said in a statement that country should not be made spectacle for the enemy and badly criticized the foreign minister khawaja Asif statement regarding fixing their own house first.

The army chief said the world should do more in terms of fighting terrorism while the foreign minister believed Pakistan must streamline its affairs, former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali was quoted in a statement as saying.

While criticising Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif’s comments, Chaudhry Nisar said ministers should not merely issue statements, but should also find solutions to issues.

He added such ministers put Pakistan in jeopardy by making such statements and let foreign powers mock the country and shed their responsibilities.

Chaudhry Nisar was referring to Khawaja Asif’s statement in which he said authorities should first fix the matters of their own “house”. The foreign minister’s statement was seconded by Minister for Interior Affairs Ahsan Iqbal.
