In his next film Thugs of Hindostan, Aamir Khan will, unsurprisingly, play a goon-like character and latest photos from the film’s sets confirm this.
While earlier it was said that the film and Aamir’s character seems inspired by Pirates of the Carribean, fans now feel that Aamir’s look is very similar to Game of Thrones character Tyrion Lannister (when he fell on harder times, that is.)
Seen in muddied clothes and matted hair, it looks like the actor is going all-out to look the part. Regardless of the inspiration behind his new look, we have to say that it’s definitely piqued interest about his next performance.
He’s been sporting a nosepin for some time as well.
Thugs of Hindostan is an action-adventure period film based on a mob in pre-Partition India.
It’s being directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya (of Dhoom 3 fame) and stars Aamir, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh (from Dangal) in lead roles.
Apart from rejoicing having spotted Aamir as a thug, Twitter also thinks Aamir largely resembles the tiniest Lannister from HBO’s Game Of Thrones, and honestly, we can’t deny. “Aamir in Thugs Of Hindostan is looking like Tyrion Lannister of Game Of Thrones,” read a tweet while another said: “Match found for: Tyrion Lannister in India!” Actor Peter Dinklage plays the much admired character in Game Of Thrones.
Interestingly, the makers have not yet disclosed Amitabh Bachchan’s look in the film. It seems like a marketing technique to keep all eyes on Aamir Khan’s get-up in the film while Amitabh Bachchan’s character could emerge as the surprise package of the film.
