Multan .Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered 1413 kg drugs and arrested eight drug offenders in 11 counter-narcotics raids conducted across the country. The recovered drugs comprised 1403 kg hashish, 6.4 kg heroin and 3.2 kg amphetamine. as per details here on Tuesday.
According to sources ANF Lahore arrested Tajamal Hussain, resident of Sargodha at Allama Iqbal international Airport, Lahore and recovered 1.030 kg amphetamine, which was concealed in his trolley bag.
The accused intended to board for Saudi Arabia by flight no. EK-625. In another operation ANF Lahore seized 430 grams heroin from a UK bound parcel being sent through a courier service company based at Royal cargo complex Allama Iqbal international airport.
Parcel was booked from TCS office Peshawar. ANF Quetta in an intelligence based operation carried out at Murda Karez Tabay Achakzai road, tehsil Chaman and district Qilla Abdullah seized 1350 kg hashish.
The drug was stocked at an isolated site situated at general area of killi pankai, tehsil Gulistan, district Qilla Abdullah.
As per preliminary reports, the drug was laced for handing to another narcotics gang for further transportation to some unidentified location. In another intelligence based operation, ANF Quetta seized 516 kg hashish from a deserted house in gen area near killi machika tehsil chaman district Qilla Abdullah.
ANF Quetta also captured a heno truck at gen area khanal baba cross tehsil khanzai and district Pishin and recovered 750 kg hashish concealed in secret cavities of the truck.
ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a motorcycle near iqbal shaheed toll plaza attock and recovered 5 kg hashish which was kept under the seat of motorcycle. A person on-board namely israr khan, resident of peshawar was also apprehended during the operation.
In another operation ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a motorcycle iqbal shaheed toll plaza attock and recovered two kg hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Faisal Bilal, Resident of Attock.
As per reports, the accused was involved in supply of drug at local level. In third operation ANF Rawalpindi arrested Bahadar Lal, resident of Mardan at Benazir Bhutto international airport, Islamabad and recovered one (1) kg amphetamine, who was traveling to Saudi Arabia by gulf airways flight no. fg-771. The drug was concealed in his trolly bag.
ANF Peshawar arrested alam khan, resident of Charsadda at Peshawar international airport on suspicion of narco filled capsules in his stomach.He was admitted in hayatabad medical complex, peshawar where he delivered 78 heroin filled capsules weighing 490 grams. He was travelling to Riyadh by Sheheen airlines flight no. nl-723.
In another operation ANF Peshawar in collaboration with ASF arrested a bound passenger identified as Akhtar Gul, resident of Kurram Agency at Peshawar international airport and recovered 1.2 kg amphetamine which was concealed in his trolley bag.
The accused intended to board for UAE by air arabia flight no.g9-555. ANF Karachi recovered 5.5 kg heroin by arresting two accused identified as Humayon Anis, resident of Rawalpindi and Syed Ali Sher, resident of Karachi. They were arrested near Daewoo Bus Stand Super highway, Karachi. All cases have been registered at respective ANF police stations and further investigations are underway.
