Release of Fast and Furious 9 new date announced

LOS ANGELES: The release date for the upcoming installment in the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise has been announced.

The ninth movie in the Fast and Furious series was initially supposed to be released on 18th April, 2019 but now will be releasing on 10th April, 2020.

The release date was announced on the franchise’s official social media pages.

In the previous installment in the series, we saw the main protagonist Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his team try to take down a cyber-terrorist (Charlize Theron).

According to IMDB, Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson and Lucas Black are set to reprise their characters of Dominic Toretto, Roman and Sean Boswell respectively in the film.

This is just the latest in the saga surrounding Gibson’s Instagram account and a proposed Hobbs-centered spin-off. Last month, the actor took the family dispute public by using multiple posts and comments to plead with Johnson to not let the rumored installment delay Fast 9.

Then, on Wednesday, with the official announcement of Fast 9 being pushed back from 2019 to 2020, Gibson once again called out his costar on social media.

Now, Gibson has shared another Instagram post in which he calls out Johnson for trying to take over the Fast And Furious franchise, calls him a clown, and suggests that other members of the Fast Family have been too trusting with Johnson.
