Bilawal reviews NA-4 Peshawar by-polls situation

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Monday reviewed the situation regarding NA-4 Peshawar by-elections at Bilawal House.

According to a statement issued here, former Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi, Humayun Khan and PPP candidate Asad Gulzar Khan called on the PPP chairman and discussed the upcoming by-polls in NA-4 constituency of Peshawar.

Asad Khan briefed Bilawal about the situation in the constituency.

The PPP chairman, on the occasion, said that rigging will not be tolerated in the by-polls. He asked the Jiyalas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhawa for effective campaign to get PPP candidate elected in the by-elections.

Bilawal said that on October 26 the PPP candidate will win and opponents will face defeat.

Adding that the PPP and Pakhtuns have the relationship of loyalty and it will continue.

We are not ones to be afraid of being arrested

ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter, Maryam Nawaz, said we are not one to be afraid of being arrested and I Know my crime very well.

Speaking to the media after appearing before the accountability court, where her husband MNA Capt (retd) Safdar was also present, she said those who appear in court are being arrested form the airport while absconders are running free and holding rallies.

“Judges will have to answer as questions are raised when a case over Panama [Papers] ended up on the Iqama ,” she remarked.
