GILGIT: Parliamentary Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan, Aurangzeb Advocate Thursday said that draft regarding insurance of 48,000 government employees of Gilgit- Baltistan has been finalized and it would be accorded approval in next meeting of the cabinet.
Talking to media, he said under the life and health insurance would be given to government employees under the policy. He said the step of government to provide life and health cover would share the financial burden of government employees.
He said that families of government employees that plunged into financial difficulties after death of sole bread earner would be facilitated through insurance policy. He said that Punjab government has also introduced life health insurance schemes for provincial government employees.
Aurangzeb Advocate said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has also approved Medical Attendants Rules 2016 to provide medical facilities to civil employees and their families.
An unidentified man on a bike attacked a women with knife in a housing society in Lahore on Thursday.
The victim said that she was returning to her house from a park within the housing society when the attacker stabbed her with knife.
She shared that she fell to the ground but couldn’t feel any pain but people surrounding her told her that she is bleeding. The survivor was taken to a nearby hospital where she received 22 stitches.
The woman had come from Saudi Arabia three-days ago for her son’s marriage.
However, the survivor’s family claimed that they will not pursue the case further as they don’t want unwarranted attention. The family didn’t even file a complaint with the police.
