PTI to show its political muscles in Peshawar today

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will show it political muscles in Peshawar this evening.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairperson Imran Khan reached the rally ground to address the public in the city.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and other leaders of the party were also present at the rally ground.

Police personnel were deployed on all four sides of the rally ground, situated near Ring Road, to ensure security throughout the event.

Earlier, Election Commission of Pakistan had objected to the rally, deeming it to be in NA-4 constituency of Peshawar. However, Peshawar Deputy Commissioner Saqib Raza Aslam clarified that the rally was scheduled for NA-2.

Reservations over rally being held in NA-4 were raised as by-election is due in the constituency later in October.
