At least two civilians martyrs as Indian forces targets funeral in AJK

Rawalpindi (Monitoring Desk): According to Director General Inter Services Public Relations Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor that at least two civilians have been martyred by the Indian forces as they targeted the funeral in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Indian army targeted the funeral procession in Chaffar village in Chirikot sector along the Line of Control (LoC), the ISPR said in a statement.

As a consequence, two civilians embraced martyrdom, while a woman was injured.

In retaliation, Pakistan Army targeted Indian posts from where the unprovoked fire initiated, the statement read.

The retaliatory fire destroyed an Indian post leaving at least one Indian troop dead, and four to five other soldiers wounded, it added.

Lahore (Monitoring Desk): Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman has said after meeting Pakistan Awami Tehreek leader Dr. Tahirul Qadri that Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif must resign.

 Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Tahirul Qadri on Thursday demanded Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s resignation in the wake of the Model Town inquiry report.

The Punjab government, at the behest of the Lahore High Court, made the report for the Model Town incident public on December 5. The report was drafted by Justice Baqir Najfi and termed the 2014 tragedy in Lahore’s Model Town as the “most unfortunate incident” in the country’s history.
