Continuity of democracy vital for progress: Hamza

LAHORE: Central leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N, MNA Hamza Shahbaz said on Monday that it was vital for the prosperous future of the country to hold 2018 general elections on time.

Addressing the Laptop distribution ceremony here at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, he said that development of the country was more important and democracy should be continued at any cost so that sustainable progress could be ensured.

He said that achievements in the field of education in Punjab were remarkable and new trends have been set by the PML-N government.

He said that people could not be satisfied through hollow slogans and false promises.

He said, “Now it is time that all of us should get matured in the national politics and refrain from leg pulling”.

He said that those who were criticizing Metro Bus in Punjab now trying to copy the same project during the last year of the government in Kyber Pakthunkhwa province.

Hamza said that 500 students of Danish School were getting laptops while overall 116,000 students would benefit from the 4th phase of laptop distribution.

Hamza Shahbaz said that Rs 17 billion were being distributed as scholarship through Punjab Endowment Fund for 235,000 students which would be increasing upto 350,000 students with the addition of Rs 6 billion.
