MULTAN: Number of tax payers has risen to 150,000 in the Multan region registering a 20 per cent increase compared to the last year.
Tax officials said that the achievement was made by virtue of hectic efforts by the officials to expand tax base in the
light of instructions from the FBR.
The RTO Multan was paying special attention on manufacturing and corporate sector besides individuals, they
said and added that tax collection would increase in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2017-18 that would begin on the
day one of the upcoming calendar year 2018.
MULTAN: Regional Tax Office (RTO) Multan has been given the target of Rs 10 billion tax collection for the ongoing month, Dec 2017.
RTO Multan officials said that they were given the target of Rs 6.6 billion for the month of November 2017 and a sum of
Rs 6.5 billion was recovered.
Rs 10 billion target for a month was comparatively bigger but officials have sped up efforts and hope to achieve it within
the ongoing month, officials added.
