Islamabad (Monitoring Desk): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf has accused former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani’s son Ali Musa Gillani for opening fire at Imran Khan’s convoy.
A case will be filed against Gillani’s son Ali Musa, the PTI statement read.
However, Ali Musa has denied the allegations, saying they were baseless.
According to him, five speeding vehicles took over his car near Pattoki. He added the last of the five vehicles hit his car after which those who initiated the act exchanged harsh words with his guards.
“But no bullet was fired from our end,” Ali Musa said, adding that when they called 15, the police helpline, they got to know that the five vehicles were in Imran Khan’s convoy.
Earlier in the evening, Imran was in Okara for a rally.
Okara is at a distance of about 50 kilometres from Pattoki where Ali Musa said his vehicle was hit.
Both the sides have submitted applications seeking registration of an FIR against each other.
The regional police officer (RPO) Sheikhupura said they would thoroughly investigate the matter and take action against whoever was found responsible.
